we already know how jws will respond ( on a pole).

but i found an article that talks about jws views on how jesus died.

i didn't know that there was a time when jws accepted the cross unlike now.

Who cares? The worship of the cross is no different than worshipping the idea that it was a stake and arguing about it

Walked away from bible study after 8 months

i have been working through the grey book with a married couple for several months.

actually after a while what happened was a different brother or sister got invited each week to my study.

i met lots and lots.

We know about the mind numbing WT Didn't they tell you how you are so refreshed after meetings? My meetings are Wednesday and I make BIG mistakes on Thursday some of them could be costly or maiming. The privilege of handling mikes??? I have even held a door for someone without authorization and got away with it

there was a time when the society was very skeptical about the internet and the so-called lies and apostate information that was out there.

it sort of was something to be avoided.

over the past ten years, however, it seems they have taken to it with a passion.

The people with no internet will be in the same boat as those who used to not have a quarter for a magazine. Could have been saved except we cant give a mag away. Did anyone really think it cost 25 cents to print one mag?

why are for the most part brown-colored people held in detention centers?

where are the rest of illegal immigrants?i think the question is valid -- as one website noted: "the u.s. government does not maintain reliable demographics of who is in immigration detention..." (https://www.freedomforimmigrants.org/detention-statistics).

a canadian woman not too long ago said to me (spontaneously - i did not bring up the subject) the following words when she heard the live tv news broadcast, which dealt about the immigrants being held at dozens of detention centers in usa: "i am canadian, and i have been living here illegally for 29 years.

is this a bad joke or "fake news"?.

nbc new york is claiming "attorneys are expected on monday to announce the filing of lawsuits in king's county supreme court against eight members of the governing body of the jehovah's witnesses for alleged child sexual abuse claims.".

Last Thursday's Meeting in Elmira, On

i had gotten a phone call from a brother who was really upset.

he said there was a resolution passed that everyone is in agreement to the selling of the elmira hall.

the strange thing is at the congregation picnic an elder told him that a few years ago the deed to the hall was signed over to the org.

Not done to parliamentary procedures in most cases. There are laws about resolutions that are ignored. Kind of a kangaroo vote. I knew one old time who commented on the waste of time because everyone just followed along
